BJP decides to boycott Sushil Kumar Shinde

The controversy over Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s ‘saffron terror’ remark is refusing to die down. With the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), now escalating the matter after a Core Group meet, deciding to boycott all public programmes of the Union Home Minister. BJP leader, Ananth Kumar, said, “We have decided to stop all communication with Mr Shinde. The party has decided that its members and workers will boycott all public programmes in which Mr Shinde takes part.”

In addition to that, the principal Opposition party also planning to hold black flag protests everywhere the Union Home Minister goes. BJP taking a hard stand after their demands for an apology from the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi over Shinde’s controversial remark were dismissed by the Government. With the Budget Session just round the corner and the principal Opposition party cutting all communication with the Union Home Minister, Parliament once again seems set for a stormy start.
